About The Arc
The eighth story arc in the manga and second season of the anime series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. It follows Tanjiro Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke Hashibira as they join the Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui, on a covert mission into a bustling red-light district to find Tengen's missing ninja wives and battle Upper Rank Six demons.
The Goal
Tengen's female ninja agents went silent while investigating demon activity in the town.
The Disguise
Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke dress up as women to infiltrate different houses and search for clues without blowing their cover.
The Threat
They discover that the district is controlled by Daki, an Upper Rank Six demon hiding as a high-ranking courtesan.
Daki and Gyutaro
When pushed, Daki's even more dangerous brother, Gyutaro, emerges from her body. Both must be decapitated at the exact same time to die.
High-Stakes Fight
Tengen, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke face severe injuries and poison from the siblings in a massive, destructive battle that levels parts of the district.
Victory
: Through teamwork and Nezuko's demon flames clearing the poison, the slayers finally behead both Daki and Gyutaro simultaneously, marking the first time the Corps defeats an Upper Rank demon in a long time.
Severe Injuries and Retirement
Tengen Uzui suffers massive injuries—losing his left hand and left eye and nearly dying from Gyutaro’s lethal poison before Nezuko uses her Blood Demon Art to burn the poison away. Due to these permanent wounds, Tengen is forced into early retirement from active Hashira duty
