About The Arc
The Five Kage Summit Arc marks a major turning point in Naruto Shippuden, shifting the narrative scale from individual village rivalries to global warfare. Leaders of the Five Great Ninja Villages gather in the neutral Land of Iron to address the mounting threat of the Akatsuki. Simultaneously, Sasuke Uchiha infiltrates the summit on a mission to assassinate Danzō, sparking a massive clash against the world's most powerful shinobi.
Rise of Danzō
Following Pain's tragic assault on Konoha, Lady Tsunade fell into a deep coma. Capitalizing on the chaos, Danzō Shimura manipulated his way into becoming the acting Sixth Hokage. He traveled to the Land of Iron Summit harboring ulterior motives to secretly exert control over the newly proposed Allied Shinobi Forces.
Sasuke's Assault
Consumed by hatred and betrayal, Sasuke led Team Taka to storm the summit. Seeking vengeance against the high-ranking leaders who manipulated his brother Itachi, Sasuke ruthlessly fought through waves of samurai, clashed directly with the Fourth Raikage, and engaged multiple Kage simultaneously.
Declaration of War
After the Five Kage firmly refused to surrender the Eight and Nine-Tails, Obito Uchiha stepped in to rescue Sasuke. He officially declared the Fourth Shinobi World War, aiming to capture the remaining Tailed Beasts and subject humanity to his Eye of the Moon Plan.
Death of Danzō
Sasuke eventually cornered Danzō on a bridge near the summit. During a violent battle, Danzō revealed an arm implanted with stolen Sharingan eyes and repeatedly utilized the forbidden Izanagi reality-altering jutsu. Overpowered by Sasuke's relentless hatred, a dying Danzō triggered a fatal self-sealing jutsu in a last-ditch effort to destroy both Sasuke and Obito.
