About The Arc
Pain's Assault was a massive, apocalyptic storyline in Naruto: Shippūden where the Akatsuki leader, Pain, invaded the Hidden Leaf Village (Konohagakure). He sought to capture Naruto Uzumaki to extract the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox and force the world into peace through sheer terror.
The Invasion & Tragedy: Pain leveled the entire village with Shinra Tensei (Almighty Push). Legendary Shinobi like Kakashi Hatake sacrificed their lives in defence.
Naruto's Return: Mastered Sage Jutsu at Mount Myōboku, Naruto returned to a destroyed Konoha to fight the Six Paths of Pain.
The Climax: Driven by rage after Hinata Hyūga's sacrifice, Naruto unleashed the Six-Tails form. In the end, Naruto reached Nagato's true self through understanding rather than vengeance.
