The Fourth Shinobi World War: Confrontation arc centers on the initial battles between the Allied Shinobi Forces and Kabuto Yakushi's reincarnated army. The Allied forces clash with resurrected legends, including the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, while Kabuto successfully revives the legendary Madara Uchiha.
Madara Uchiha’s return to the Naruto universe occurs in two major phases during the Fourth Shinobi World War. First, Kabuto Yakushi resurrects him using the Reanimation Jutsu (Edo Tensei) in Naruto Shippuden Chapter 560. Madara quickly overpowers the allied shinobi, severs his ties to Kabuto's control, and is fully resurrected using his own intricate resurrection plans. Once fully restored to life, he becomes the Ten-Tails' Jinchuriki and casts the Infinite Tsukuyomi before ultimately being betrayed
The Fourth Division battles a resurrected Madara Uchiha, alongside reanimated Kage like the Third Raikage and Second Tsuchikage. Simultaneously, Gaara is forced to fight and ultimately seal his own reanimated father, the Fourth Kazekage.
Meanwhile, Itachi Uchiha is also resurrected but breaks free of Kabuto's control. He teams up with his brother, Sasuke, to track down Kabuto and force him to release the Reanimation Jutsu
Naruto and Killer B finally join the battlefield, with Naruto mastering his Kurama Chakra Mode and learning to use his immense power to support the allied platoons
Tobi (Obito Uchiha) releases the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path and unleashes the six captive Jinchūriki, now reanimated and under his control, who are fought by Naruto and Killer Bee.
