Fourth Shinobi World War
Confrontation Arc • Clashes & Legends Reborn
About The Arc
The Fourth Shinobi World War: Confrontation Arc centers on the brutal initial clashes between the Allied Shinobi Forces and Kabuto Yakushi's reanimated army. Frontlines explode as shinobi face resurrected legendary warriors—including the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist and ancient Kage—culminating in the apocalyptic return of Madara Uchiha.
The Return of Madara Uchiha
Madara Uchiha's arrival shatters the battlefield. Reanimated by Kabuto via Edo Tensei, Madara single-handedly decimates the Fourth Division with taijutsu and meteors. He severs Kabuto's control, initiates his true resurrection plan to become the Ten-Tails' Jinchūriki, and prepares to cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi upon the world.
The Kage Clashes
Across the battlefields, the Allied Forces clash with legendary resurrected Kage, including the Third Raikage and Second Tsuchikage. In an emotional showdown, Gaara confronts, reconciles with, and ultimately seals his own reanimated father, Rasa (the Fourth Kazekage).
Itachi's Redemption
Resurrected under Kabuto's spell, Itachi uses Shisui's Kotoamatsukami to break free from control. Joining forces with Sasuke, the Uchiha brothers locate Kabuto's hideout. Using the infinite loop Izanami, Itachi defeats Kabuto and forces him to undo the entire Reanimation Jutsu.
Naruto's Intervention
Breaking through the barrier, Naruto and Killer B enter the war zone. Mastering his Kurama Chakra Mode, Naruto disperses shadow clones across all battlefronts to detect disguised White Zetsu clones and reinforce struggling Allied divisions.
The Tailed Beasts
Obito Uchiha unleashes the Six Paths of Pain using reanimated Jinchūriki, forcing them to transform into full Tailed Beast forms. Naruto earns Kurama's complete trust, unlocking full Tailed Beast Mode to free his fellow Jinchūriki from Obito's chakra stakes.
