About The Arc
The Fourth Shinobi World War: Countdown Arc serves as the intense prelude to global conflict. Tobi (masquerading as Madara Uchiha) and Kabuto Yakushi forge a deadly alliance to declare war against the Five Great Shinobi Nations. While the allied forces organize their army, Naruto Uzumaki and Killer Bee are dispatched to a secret, moving island to train and safeguard the remaining Tailed Beasts.
Naruto's Training
Stationed on Turtle Island, Naruto undergoes rigorous training under Killer Bee's guidance to master the Nine-Tails' chakra. To succeed, he overcomes the inner hatred at the Falls of Truth and encounters a spiritual manifestation of his mother, Kushina Uzumaki, whose love empowers him to tame Kurama.
Sasuke's Progress
Recovering away from the immediate frontline, Sasuke undergoes surgery to transplant his deceased brother Itachi's eyes. By awakening the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, he gains immense visual power and immunity to blindness, readying himself to unleash destruction upon his enemies.
Kabuto's Treachery
Kabuto Yakushi joins forces with Tobi while secretly orchestrating his own agenda. Utilizing the forbidden Edo Tensei (Impure World Reincarnation) jutsu, Kabuto resurrects a vast army of deceased, legendary shinobi and previous Kage to serve as the ultimate frontline for Akatsuki.
Intelligence Gathering
A high-stakes espionage race begins between both factions. Kisame Hoshigaki secretly infiltrates Turtle Island inside Samehada to locate the Jinchūriki. His presence is uncovered, leading to an explosive final clash with Might Guy, who unlocks the Seventh Gate to defeat him.
